I have a special friend
Who has a special day
And so I'm stopping in
So she can hear me say:

I've admired your strength
And I've learned from you
How to pick up the pieces
And carry on anew;
I also learned your secret
To making biscuit dough
But molasses cookies?
Only you must know.

You are loved by many
And missed by many more
By choice you seldom mingle
To even go outdoors;
But you are not forgotton
For when I mention you
People ask "How is she?"
And say they miss you too!

You were Snackie's Angel
Now he's your's, I'm sure
For no man & woman
Loved each other more;
Now that you're 87
I am just so very proud
To have you for my friend
I'll say it right out loud:

No matter what you do
Have fun & laugh with family
