HE DIDN'T EVEN GIVE ME A RING
Well, I thought I had impressed him
When he asked me to dance
And I know he knows I've missed him
As I've taken every chance:
To tell him that I like him
That he means everything
But after dancing all night long
He didn't even give me a ring.
Nope, not even one little phone call
To say "hi and how are you?"
Doesn't he know I'm waiting
That I'm feeling so damn blue?
I gave him my home phone
And my cell and work as well
Perhaps he's trying to tell me
I can go straight to Hell.
I thought I saw him just last night
As I sat drinking at a bar
I watched as he and some blond
Climbed into a brand new car;
So I soon found another man
He treats me like he's King
But after waiting one whole week
He didn't even give me a ring.
My friends say I'm too easy
That I should lay off booze
But what the Hell, I'm having fun
What have I got to lose?
Leap year is straight ahead
I wonder what it'll bring?
The very first man I meet next year
I'm asking for a ring!

Great county western song. Do you sing or play the guitar? I like it.
