DECEMBER
Well, it's finally in December
You're still many miles away
It goes without saying
It's almost Christmas Day;
Children come with cookies
Carolers sing to me
And I light some candles
But I have no Christmas tree.
I hear pretty Christmas songs
That make me think of you
And when I go out walking
I use those old snow-shoes;
It seems you're there beside me
If only in my heart
And tear drops fall quickly
Like the day we had to part.
Sometimes I even smell you
And feel your breath on mine
I reach out to touch you
For only you I pine;
I look at your photograph
And long for you so much
Just to see your dark eyes
And to feel your touch.
So Santa if you're listening
Please bring him back to me
You know how much I love him
Oh, how I'd love to see---
The love in his brown eyes
As bright as the firelog
And I can't wait until the day
I get back my dog!!

BAH HUMBUG
BAH HUMBUG
So Christmas time is here again
Yet it seems like yesterday
We exchanged our presents
And put everything away;
Then the bills came due
And we worked extra hard
To do it all over again
Buying gifts and cards.
But what if we don't care
To spend what we ain't got
And what if we just disappear
And fly to someplace hot;
I think if I had money
A ticket I would buy
A "Bah Humbug" message
To warmer spots I'd fly.
With children living far away
And my dog down South
All I feel like doing here
Is stuffing my big mouth;
Carols make me lonelier
Snow just makes me mad
And I expect no presents
'Cuz Santa knows I'm bad.
So Christmas can pass me by
I really couldn't care less
I won't be decorating much
So then I'll have no mess;
But I might start drinking
And maybe sleep right through
Cause it ain't a good Christmas
If I ain't got you.

EH?
EH?
Some folks say we speak funny
Some say we walk weird too
It's been told we act silly
The things we say and do;
If we're outside skating
Or outdoors making hay
We're having lots of fun
Kickin' country, eh?
Sure we hoot & holler here
And sometimes even fight
And often when we're alone
We sleep all day & night;
It's the way we live here
How we choose to be
And if you're wondering
No, we don't have fleas.
A little kitchen party here
Is always lotsa fun
Someone brings their guitar
Someone brings some rum;
People playing cards and crib
'Til the light of day
Laughing and begging aloud
"Sing another one, eh?"
So what if we are boring
What if we are too loud
We're just having lotsa fun
With our little crowd;
Come on in and join us
Fresh lobsters night or day
Just bring your own moonshine
Homemade's the best, eh?
