SURPRISE!

SURPRISE!!!

The telephone rang loud & clear
I answered it with "hello"
She said it was the florist shop
They'd deliver at 2 or so;
It was of course, Valentine's
But I was still surprised
And when I read the little card
I couldn't believe my eyes!

I saw a huge, fresh bouquet
Wrapped with a white ribbon
They must cost quite a sum
I tell you I'm not kiddin';
"From your Secret Admirer"
I read aloud the words
And racked my brain for hours
Recalling macho guys and nerds.

It's now been quite a few days
And they have died and gone
To the trash outside my home
Was it Arthur, Will or Jon?
I wonder who did send them
If they'll show their face?
And if they bring more flowers
I hope they bring a vase!

But it was a sweet surprise
Tho I don't have a clue
I hope that he's single
So we might say "I do;"
If he has teeth and money
I will be in Heaven
Oh my God, it's Costner
You know, as in "KEVIN!!"
