WHO WILL SAVE OUR CHURCH?
It sits patiently waiting
It's rooms cold and dark
Silently and quietly
Waiting for a spark.....
Just a spark of interest
A brand new Minister
Perhaps one who's loving
Not selfish or sinister.
It doesn't need a new roof
Or a coat of paint
It proudly sits all alone
A kind & gentle Saint.
Who will step forward
To heal its fresh hurts?
Who has any courage
Who will save our church?
It never abandoned us
We abandoned it
When we turned our backs
And refused to sit.
When people all walked away
And left it in disgrace
It held its head high
And filled the empty space.....
Filled the space with warmth
And filled the pews with love
Sits waiting and watching
From Him up above.
So now the new year's here
Snowbirds take their perch
Waiting to see just who
Who will save our church?
